Personal Vision // Eugene Richards Workshop // March 14 -16, 2016
Monday, March 14 – Wednesday, March 16, 2016
Bilder Nordic and PUG OSLO is honored to offer an unparalleled learning experience with world-renowned photographer Eugene Richards.
This three-day, hands-on workshop is for photographers seeking to further personalize their way of seeing, become more proficient photographing people, while strengthening their ability to tell stories with both pictures and writing.
Richards will first show a selection of the work of major photojournalists and art photographers to initiate a discussion about personal vision and the creative process. He will discuss and respond to any and all questions about his own photography and film work, then undertake group and personal critiques of your photographs, focusing on the structure and content of your images and, as significantly, your aspirations for your work. In this workshop, you will learn how to approach people, how to feel more comfortable entering various social situations, and how to remain there so that you may create the images that you hope to make. There will be photographic editing and basic shooting assignments. Finally, as time allows, Richards will team with his wife and working partner, Janine Altongy, to discuss how to conduct research and prepare your work for publication.
